Of Cobb's far-reaching influence on nematology research, Jenkins and Taylor write: 4. Through his efforts the widely renowned [ USDA ] nematology research program was initiated and developed. 5. These two publications provide definitive resources for many methods and apparatus used in nematology even to this day. 6. From [ 1913 ] to 1932 he was the undisputed leader in [ nematology ] in this country. 7. Third, the development of nematode-resistant crop cultivars brought substantial government funding to applied nematology research. 8. In the subsequent year the Department of Agricultural Entomology & Nematology and Agronomy had started offering PG programme. 9. He saw this journal through its transformation in 1992 into " Fundamental and Applied Nematology ". 10. It brings together various crop science disciplines such as entomology, nematology , plant pathology, and plant breeding.
