1. The one exception is the anterior portion of the dorsal blastopore lip. 2. Mesentoblasts are found in the blastopore area between the endoderm and ectoderm. 3. Hence, primitive streak is analogous to the blastopore lip in amphibian gastrulation. 4. Two major groups of animals can be distinguished according to the blastopore 's fate. 5. However, in bryozoans the blastopore closes, and a new opening develops to create the mouth. 7. The entrance to this is known as the blastopore and it will later develop into the anus. 8. In most animals, a blastopore is formed at the point where cells are entering the embryo. 9. In deuterostomes the anus forms from the blastopore , while in protostomes it develops into the mouth. 10. A transplanted blastopore lip can convert ectoderm into neural tissue and is said to have an inductive effect.
