1. Wormwood Deworming agent, antiseptic, antispasmodic , sedative and stimulant. 2. Further down the gut, the effect typically is antispasmodic . 3. It does not have antispasmodic effects " in vivo ". 4. It is a musculotropic antispasmodic drug without anticholinergic side effects. 5. Dicycloverine an antispasmodic , which relieves painful stomach cramps and spasms. 6. It does not have the acetylecholine side effect commonly seen in an anticholinergic antispasmodic . 7. Side effects such as sedation and ataxia are also less pronounced with nonbenzodiazepine antispasmodics . 8. A derivative of scopolamine is the drug butylscopolamine, a potent peripherally acting antispasmodic . 9. The herb is stimulant, carminative and antispasmodic . 10. Spider venom is being studied for medical applications, such as antispasmodics and beta blockers.
